Very well written and insightful of teenage feelings and vocabulary! A very nice story I would recommend to any young teenage girl.
Quirky characters combined with a heart-wrenching plot kept me reading.
The author really capture the voice of a 16 year old. The plot is engaging.

I purchased the book to read before suggesting it to my 16 yr. old neighbor. I'm 68. I loved the book; I laughed throughout, and towards the end, had tears in my eyes. What more could you ask for. Read in one day, because it keept my interest. I've suggested it to several of my friends for their teenage grandchildren.
I took a chance on a new-ish author with the purchase of this book. I'm glad I did. The story kept my attention and made me want to keep reading. I recommend you take a chance too! There were many times I did not predict the next move in the story. Again, a delight to read.
I really enjoyed this book. It had something for everyone in it. It had humor, mystery and love that anyone could relate to.
I know this book is supposed to be for young adults but I am 70 and I thoroughly enjoyed the characters, their crazy names and the whole story line. I'm really looking forward to the next one.
Nonstop tension and fascinating characters. Teens will love this book as they meet the mysterious O.C.Henri and await the outcome of Madison's music competition set against the onset of Hurricane Katrina. On occasion I thought some scenes could be played out but it didn't take a bit away from my enjoyment of this book.
